At the end of may I had a good look through my stats and was trying to figure out my Kontera earnings progression. On average I have been earning around $0.50 per day right from the very start with the occasional $1.50 days. I am assuming that kontera pays

different amounts per click depending on the keyword as does adsense, also I was curious to find which are the most popular "Kontera Keywords". From here I went through all of my posts for May and listed all of the words which had been highlighted by Kontera, I then published tis list into a private post on my blog to see which keywords would be highlighted first. Due to the fact that all of the keywords I had extracted were potential "kontera-links" I am assuming that the words highlighted first would be the most popular and highest-paying as they will have been given prescience over the other potential keywords. From this list, the words which were highlighted by kontera first i removed from the list and called them number 1, then I re-published the list to see which were the next keywords to be highlighted and called them number 2, I continued doing this until the list was finished.

As you will be able to see some of the words near the bottom of the list are highlighted as-well as some at the top, but the main thing is that there are more keywords showing than usual because the post is tailored toward Kontera. This is now a keyword rich post and kontera will have no problem assigning adverts to many keywords.

 

Least relevant keywords

When i was going through the list, when i got near the end there were a certain amount of keywords which would not link on their own as a list, these are shown below.

These seem to be less common keywords and only show up links when in a page with lots of other text on as I'm guessing Kontera will assign maybe 1 or 2 adverts per 100 words on a page. This is still to be investigated and i will be doing more experiments in the future to find out how you can optimize certain posts for Kontera. Let me know what you think!
