Here is a great video demonstrating the effects of sound on the air around us. Each and every sound we hear reaches your ears by vibrating tiny air particles, our brain detects these tiny pressure differences and translates this into sound. This classic physics experiment demonstrates beautifully how sound agitates the air in a gas filled tube, thus disrupting the size of the flames produced. It may sound a little compliated at first but sound is only a series of tiny high pressures and low pressures in the air where it is created. Sit back, watch and enjoy!
