Hi Tray, I'm glad you got some good info, it surprised me about the detrimental effects of not enough sleep when i was researching it! I still keep slipping in to bad patterns now and again but have found it surprisingly energy giving after just a couple of nights of getting enough sleep! :-)

Hi, great information. As I'm still at my blogging keyboard and its well past the wee hours of the morning, I am seriously out of sleep balance.

I like the 14-day challenge idea. If I have more sleepless nights, I'll sure remember those comments about extra Cortisol and heart damage. Yikes!

I almost said thanks for waking me up to the trouble sleepless nights can cause, but that would probably mean I've been up too long. :-)

Very informative post, thanks.

Yeah, it was too easy for me to get into the bad habit f staying up lat just to get "something" finished, if i had just gone to sleep when i was tired and got my extra hour i could have got twice as much done the following day! Hindsight is a wonderful thing..lol

I used to get my 8hrs of beauty sleep every nights, but since I started blogging seriously 3 months ago, my sleep was sacrificed.
My current sleep schedule quite mirrored yours, 12.30am-7am. I'm beginning to feel the effect from lack of sleep, feeling lethargic and my immune system also weakens. I need to get re-acquainted with adequate sleep again!

Ouch that doesn't sound fun at all! Waking up in pain isn't good either! What do the Doctors tell you?
I read an interesting article about how researches were able to reset a persons body clock by shining bright light on the back of the knees! I'll try and find it again as i cant remember where it was at!

Good luck and i hope you manage to make friends with sleep again! ;-)

That's some good information...and I'm in big trouble lol. I got about....lets see.....2.5 hours last night? (4am-6:30am) I woke up and couldn't back to sleep, it's way too hot to sleep and here I cam lol.

As long as I can remember I've never had a good nights sleep. Always waking up in pain and with a headache....every morning and always tired no matter how many hours I got. And I wake up multiple times per night, sometimes more than others. When I'm working days at the factory (7:30am-3:30am) I go to bed early so I can get 8 hours and I wake up feeling ok, but not the greatest. I have a bad neck and back that's always tight and sore....it sucks. As much as I like sleep, we don't get along so well lol.
