Hi Betshopboy, after trying the experiment and contacting Alexa to which I couldnet get a conclusive answer so I couldent find out if it works or not!
Currently I am still using the redirect on the MyBlogLog link and a few ones on my site but im leaving other links alone to help carry link juice!
It does seem strange that Alexa would create a redirect protocol like this which doesnt do anything!

Hi Andy

I read about your little experiment comparing one website using Alexa redirect with another that doesn't.

So do you have a conclusion whether the alexa redirect thingy actually helps in a site's alexa ranking?
