I found this amazing real life picture over at The Real Estate Schmoozer about a couple in China who refused to sell their home to a developer who wanted to build a complex on the land they were living on. The conflict had been going on since 2004 after the developer had paid the couples 280 neighbours for their homes and their land. After much negotiations the couple decided not to move as they liked it exactly where they were even though they had been offered $450,000 USD! Eventually the developer move din and began to prepare the land for the foundations of the new complex digging around the couples homes! Since then the couple have attracted the support of the community and the attention of the media! This is a truly remarkable story of peoples resilience!
