I'll be back!

If you are a regular visitor to my blog you will have noticed that there hasn't been much of an update for a few days. For the next month I am going to have to put my blog on hold due to a massive influx of work taking up most of my time and when I'm not working I will be relaxing! So for the next 5 weeks i will be at Harewood House working on a large theater show called Carnival Messiah. For the next 2 weeks we'll be in technical rehearsals and then running the show after that, i may drop a blog post in now and again if i feel the urge and have time! Until then, take care!

How to stop Kontera content links being displayed in sponsored posts!

Following on from yesterdays post I thought I would show you how to stop Kontera content links being displayed in your sponsored blog posts. Yesterday I completely forgot about the content links and my sponsored post was rejected because you can't run advertising alongside sponsored posts from pay per post. It's OK though as Pay Per post allow you to correct your mistake and re-submit your post, Wehey!!

It's actually really easy to block Kontera links being displayed in posts, all you have to do is add a small piece of code to the beginning and end of each paragraph in you post, and here it is:

<span name=”KonaFilter”>
Imagine this is the code of you blog ., to stop the Kontera content links being displayed within this paragraph, just add the above code shown in red at the beginning and the closing tag of the code, also shown her in red, at the end. Thats it, just remember you must add it to EACH paragraph, NOT at the beginning and end of an entire post made of several paragraphs as it wont work.
</span>

So remember if you sign up for pay per post and write a sponsored post don't forget to leave out those AdSense adverts AND block them Kontera content links!

Thumbs up for Pay Per Post

Finally my blog has passed the 90 days of age mark and qualifies to take offers from payperpost woo hoo! I was offered this opportunity to write about pay per post before the qualification period but thought I would bide my time to see what goodies appear once you blog qualifies! A couple of days ago I wrote a review via PPP direct for Money Casino and actually found this quite fun as it has been quite a while since I reviewed anything. The process was really easy, i was made an offer to review this site, I accepted, I wrote the review following the criteria, submitted the link to the Post back to PPP and then after a successful review I was paid $12 whole dollars(thats about £6 over here in the UK)!

I actually stumbled across Pay per Post whilst reading Courtney Tuttles blog who completed this exact offer of getting paid to blog about pay per post, what comes around….!

So here we are once again, another step toward buying my Lotus, $20 for talking about Pay Per Post and I have worked out that it will only take another 3,500 offers like this and I will be able to afford my Lotus Exige! I expect this is not entirely impossible as on my PPP dashboard one of the top earners has earned over $14,000 already, so if your looking to Earn Money Online and want something to write about, sign up for Pay Per Post!

Oh yea..and what do I love most about Pay per Post? Its that they pay me to post :-)!

Google Search techniques, how to find what your looking for!

Have you ever found your self being frustrated whilst searching on Google for something which you know exists but you cant possibly seem to find again? Google does its bet to try and bring you the most relevant results for a basic keyword/phrase but sometimes thats not enough, to improve your searching try these simple little search tricks and 99.99% of the time you will be able to find what you are looking for. Not only will you find what you are looking for but you will save tons of time and increase you productivity! Follow these simple easy to remember techniques and they will be with you forever!

  • "Quotation marks" - If you are looking for an exact phrase, surround you phrase in quotation marks, this tells Google that you want results which contain this exact phrase.
  • AND - If you what your results to return all of the keywords used put an AND (in capitals) between each word. e,g search: andy AND coates AND money, this will return any documents containing all of these keywords
  • OR - This is the same as above but gives the search engine a choice of this OR that. e.g search: andy AND coates OR money OR magic
  • NOT - again, same as the previous examples but this operator excludes the particular word from a search to help narrow your results.

There are may other operators you can use but its probably quite rare that you will need these as you will probably find what you are looking for using the above search tools. Sometimes whilst searching the results will return a huge page full of text which would take hours to read through whilst trying to find what your looking for. Heres a very under-used technique to search through a huge amount of text to narrow down your search. This is already built into you browser whether you use Firefox or IE and is the Ctrl + F on you keyboard and in IE it will bring up a search box and in Firefox it will open a small search tool bar at the bottom of you browser (nice!).

Firefox:

Internet Explorer:

From here just type the text your looking for and it will search the document for hat keyword or phrase beginning at the top and working the way down the page, easy peazy and it will save you tons of time! For another productivity tip take a look at my post sleep your way to success or even better try searching for it using you new found search techniques.
